Job Brief
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sewer Topman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of sewer systems. This role requires a strong understanding of various tools and techniques used in sewer construction and repair, as well as the ability to work in diverse environments. The Sewer topman will play a crucial role in ensuring that our infrastructure operates efficiently and safely. (UNION 49)
Job Duties
- Perform installation and maintenance of sewer lines and related systems.
- Operate loaders for excavation and material handling.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools for various tasks including cutting, welding, and assembling components.
- Conduct fiber splicing for communication lines as needed.
- Work with low voltage and high voltage systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Climb to access elevated work areas safely.
- Rig materials and equipment as required for specific tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety standards.

Requirements
Experience
- 18+ years of age
- Previous experience in sewer installation or maintenance is preferred.
- Familiarity with loader operation, bucket operation, welding, fiber splicing, and rigging techniques is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using both power tools and hand tools effectively.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
